Think About Functionality
Create a wish list regarding things you like and don’t like in a kitchen, it can be worth doing this over a few weeks to make sure you catch everything. For example; I want to hide my food mixer, tidy up my oils and vinegars, I can’t find what I am looking for in my corner cupboard, recycling bins, not enough wall storage, I can’t reach the back of my cupboard etc.

Know Your Budget
Budget for the whole project and get a detailed quote so you know what is (and isn’t) included. For example, during our visit we will confirm if you need a new consumer unit and or the stop tap needs moving, we detail what is and isn’t included. Some resellers will sell you the kitchen, but when the installer starts you will be told that the consumer unit needs changing and that’s often the best part of £500.

Measure Twice, Cut Once!
Book an onsite initial survey to confirm measurement and feasibility of design.

Compare on a like for like basis.
We recommend getting three quotes, but do make sure you are comparing like for like and using local trades.

For example ensure that you are clear on the quality of the furniture, good known brand electrical appliances and local installers. Sometimes we see quotes where the brands of the appliances are not detailed or that the installer is based in a different county which means that if there is a problem later they can’t just pop by to solve the problem.

Refine And Order
Once we have an initial design drawn and an indication of prices we will invite you to discuss the plan and prices, the design can be tweaked as required and we can add and remove features which can effects the price dramatically, in the end this results in thought through design, practical and functional storage and a price that gives you the best value for money.
